Xin Bin is an undergraduate student in the materials science and engineering department of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. She joined Baron-lab as a research assistant in October 2021. She is involved in investigating the hydrogen embrittlement effect of radioactive element tritium following nuclear reaction on the surface coating by using the isotope deuterium to replace tritium for electroplating and anodizing in the lab. She is part of the team that planned to analyze quantitatively hydrogen (H, D) desorption from the surface and bulk of metals using thermal desorption spectrometry (TDS). Her research interest is the surface analysis of nanostructured materials and coatings.
